Understanding DTF Technology

Direct-to-Film (DTF) printers are a revolutionary digital technology used primarily for garment printing. Unlike traditional DTG or screen printing, DTF involves printing designs onto a special PET film, applying adhesive powder, and heat-pressing it onto fabric for a durable, vibrant finish.

How DTF Printing Works

Design Creation

Images are prepared using high-resolution graphic software for crisp, professional output.

Printing on PET Film

Designs are printed onto transparent PET film using CMYK and White ink channels.

Powder Application

A specialized hot melt adhesive powder is applied evenly to the wet printed design.

Curing the Film

The film is cured in an oven or heat press to activate the adhesive and bond it to the ink.

Heat Transfer

The cured film is pressed onto the fabric at high temperatures, bonding the design permanently.

Peeling & Finishing
